Experience the harmony of nature on our 160-acre campground located in the heart of New Jersey’s Kittatinny Mountains. Easily accessible from all directions in the tri-state area, Harmony Ridge is open year-round for your enjoyment. Come sit a spell and join our family in front of the lounge fireplace, meet new friends, and share camping adventures. The memories made here are meant to last a lifetime.

Edwin Sr. and Dorin Ann Risdon purchased the property in 1963, and Harmony Ridge Campground officially opened on July 4, 1966, with just 10 campsites. In those early days, the men were still working on the bathrooms, kerosene lanterns lit the way, and campers gathered to enjoy swimming, fishing, hiking, and evenings around the campfire filled with stories and laughter.

Today, Harmony Ridge has grown to over 200 sites and offers a wide variety of amenities, including a large pavilion, shuffleboard, bocce ball, volleyball, horseshoes, a swimming pool, basketball court, and paddle boats. Recent additions include a giant playground located near the office and our new campground app, designed to make it easier for guests to stay connected, access information, and enhance their stay.

Harmony Ridge Campground is proudly family-owned and operated, with roots dating back to the 1960s when Ed and Doris Risdon first opened the campground. Today, the campground is lovingly cared for by their son, Edwin Jr., and his wife, Susan, who continue the family tradition while guiding the next generations into the future. Harmony Ridge continues to evolve while staying true to the family values and traditions that have made it a place where campers feel welcome, connected, and at home.

Life at Harmony Ridge blends the conveniences of today with the peaceful charm of country living, creating a place where families return year after year to relax, reconnect, and feel at home.
